The SeaMonkey project is a community effort to develop the SeaMonkey Internet application suite (see below). Such software suites have been popularized by Netscape and Mozilla before, and the SeaMonkey project will continue to develop and provide high-quality updates to this concept. SeaMonkey includes Internet browsers, email and newsgroup clients, as well as Web feed readers, HTML editors, IRC chat and Web development tools, and will definitely attract advanced users, Web developers and corporate users.

Tabbed browsing provides you with a better way to surf the Internet. You no longer need to open one page at a time. Use tabbed browsing to open multiple pages with one click. In addition, your homepage can be multiple pages, in the form of tabs. If you close a tab or window by mistake, the function of undoing the closed tab or window can help you restore it to continue using it.

After a rare crash in SeaMonkey, session resumption will bring back all open windows and tabs-if you wish, even when you close and reopen the browser or restart your computer. However, crashes should be rare now, because a crashing plugin will no longer cause the entire application to crash.

SeaMonkey’s powerful add-on management provides almost unlimited possibilities. You can expand your Internet experience by installing additional features created by others, or even freely developing your own extensions and providing them to other members of the SeaMonkey community.

SeaMonkey’s unique data manager serves as a central management interface for various site-specific data, including cookies, permissions (such as image blocking), preferences, passwords, and form data.

Lightweight themes (characters) allow you to give your SeaMonkey personal style through simple themes. You can choose from thousands of themes!

When a webpage provides an RSS or Atom feed, the feed detection will notify you. The feed preview allows you to view its content and select the readers that subscribe to these content, including the internal readers in SeaMonkey’s mail and newsgroup components.
